Thank you!!! When I was a kid, I used to get horrible acid reflux. I had to take the adult prescription antiacids because my anxiety / stress was so bad - but I had no idea it was anxiety. My body saved me from so many things because of this response, but eventually didn’t serve me anymore. I love journalling - but tarot actually helped expand my journalling and perspective skills. It helps me see things from a different stance! Would highly recommend it 🥰

I really resonate with this. I was the kid taking the adult stuff, and felt stressed out a lot! I find certain practices, including mindfulness and meditation, have really saved me. Literally saved my life. Rewired me somehow.

It helps shift and change the neuropathways… I wish more doctors would be open to trying alternative methods instead of old ways of knowing. Just because the medication they provide you is only a bandaid. The internal work is how it really heals

I’ve been very lucky over the years to meet docs who say, “That’s great! Keep doing it!” They’re out there. I’ve met them at conferences and in their offices. It’s there. But I had to seek it out sometimes! But some really know how to blend the modern and ancient to promote healing.

This is a very heartfelt reflection. It makes me wonder how often our symptoms are actually signals—opportunities to address something deeper. Maybe the issue isn’t within the person, but in the system itself. Maybe the way schools teach needs to be rethought. But instead, we’re handed a bottle and told to stay quiet. We should all be wary of that.

Those years are really seared into my mind. It’s been many decades since elementary school, and I think there is a lot more attention being paid to things like this, but so much is still so misunderstood! But I like what you said about opportunities to address something deeper. That’s very important and very meaningful.
